| China has once again taken a leap into the ludicrous and banned mafia gang style games because the governemnt thinks their kids are so stupid that they don't have minds of their own. China's Ministry of Culture has made it an offence in China to provide these games and offer links to such games and says punishments will be severe. Not realizing how the mind of a teenager works, they've blinkerdly blamed online gang games for creating anti-social behavior in teenagers - blissfully unaware, it seems, that some teenagers behave this way regardless of which computer games they play, and removing the blame of such behavior from parents and carers where it belongs. The Ministry of Culture says the banned games include those which "encourage people to deceive, loot and kill, and glorify gangster life." It's hardly suprising really that a governemt renowned for attempting to brainwash its citizens would be silly enough to think its citizens are brain-dead enough to be brainwashed by computer games. Don't they realize serious gamers out to be the best don't have time to waste being real-life wannabe Triads, but by taking away the fantasy online option they're more likely to drive them out into the streets and try it for real now more than ever before? Oh, the ironic stupidy of the old and 'wise'. |
